SaveArtSpace presents Cosmic Shift a public art and gallery exhibition in Los Angeles, CA starting April 25, 2022.

The Cosmic Shift selected artists are Alphachanneling, angelfire, Dang Olsen, Ellie Pritts, Judy Ostro, Krisztina Lazar, Lala Abaddon, Maalavidaa, Marcelo Pinel, Nicole Buffett, Remi Emdur, and SPACEFILLER. Curated by Jen Stark.

A Cosmic Shift in consciousness, in direction, in optics or energy, has the power to inspire exploration. It can help unlock the mysteries of the universe, shedding light upon the role of variety, evolution, and multidimensionality.

Whether engaging with the unexplored regions of our own consciousness or the infinite expanse beyond, our means of perception are impacted by a spectrum of systems and forces that govern everything from the microscopic to the macrocosmic aspects of our natural world.

The public exhibition of Cosmic Shift aims to draw attention to the infinite coexisting vibrancies all around us, generating a myriad of lenses through which to examine, connect, and challenge our methods of perceiving ourselves, our minds, our environments, and the intricacies of our existence.

The selected artists were exhibited on billboards in Los Angeles, CA, starting April 25, 2022 for at least one month.

The original art work was also on view at Gabba Gallery 3126 Beverly Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90057 with an opening reception on Saturday April 30th, 6p-9p.

Krisztina Lazar Unicorn Consciousness

Location: Wilshire Blvd & S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA

Krisztina Lazar believes that art has the ability to change, to open and to illuminate. My art is the expression of the internal through external spectacle, rituals, created or performed, that seek to highlight meaning in the mundane. My images come from memory, mythology, and visionary experience that are mediated by history, science fiction and the now. It is a dialogue between the ritual of imagery, the process of form and texture, and the performance of creation.

Ancient ideas are transmuted today and masquerade in pop culture. The tapestry of history is an organism onto itself, breathing, changing and growing. We see it in its nowness, its current incarnation, as it lives and thrives around us and in our collective unconscious. What are our symbols? What are the beings that live in our collective imagination? These are the questions I attempt to harness with my imagery. Each piece is a cell in a larger system, a single thought in an evolving idea, that paints a picture of the change and growth we experience in our day to day interior and exterior lives.

Lala Abaddon This Place is a Portal

Location: Melrose Ave & N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA

Lala Abaddon seeks to examine the dual nature of binary relationships with parallels that give shape to their physical existence. She creates work that is a physical representation of the web that connects all beings of the Multiverse.

In her hand-woven photographic work she integrates many components in her process, capturing her unique images multiple times through repetitive sequence methods, then arranging the large format prints into precise and deliberate pairings. She continues on to intricately and painstakingly hand cut each print into hundreds of strips and then hand-weave the prints with unique undulating and complicated patterns designed to convey a specific feeling, eventually leaving us with images within images and compelling the viewer to experience alternate realities or states of being. This process can take weeks depending on the complexity of the images and weave structures.  Many times her work is mistaken for a digital manipulation, and the discovery of its true nature by the viewer is integral to the understanding of her process and purpose; to disrupt order, reconstruct historical notions of photography and weaving, and challenge what it means to create something solely for the purpose of creation.
