In the intricate tapestry of life, each thread—no matter how seemingly insignificant—is essential to the grand design. We are deeply intertwined with each other, from the systems we live within to the shapes and patterns of the natural world. This connection is both our strength and our responsibility. As mirrors of one another, our shared humanity reflects many of the same hopes, dreams, fears, and aspirations.

In a world where the shortcomings of individualism are increasingly evident, seen daily in our news and the failing systems around us, the concept of interdependence emerges not just as an alternative, but as a necessary path forward. It highlights our deep connection with nature and each other, reminding us of our role in a larger universe and the responsibility we carry in shaping the systems that surround us.

How holding space for each other as chosen family as folks who have to create our own reimagined realities; to be queer and or to be a migrant person one of our gifts is the ability of starting over; of building our communities and honoring traditions through street markets, food vendors, and all in between creating possibilities to reconcile with yourself through a bowl or spoon or hand. To the Queers setting tables for house dinners, family gatherings, and chisme sessions. When a whisk can be used to feed and nurture us in the kitchen and to make wheatpaste and liberate public spaces. A dedication to the Queer folks who are the keepers and cooks of our reimagined and new traditions and stories. To the queer families and people building networks of care and resilience, to the Queer folks who long for family, and all the beautiful and complicated experiences and nuances in between. To existing and spreading into ourselves and loved ones.

In·del·i·ble /inˈdeləb(ə)l/

Indelible refers to something that cannot be removed, erased, or forgotten; it leaves a lasting and permanent mark or impression. The foundation of America bears the indelible imprint of Black labor, a powerful force that played an instrumental role in shaping the nation's prosperity. From the toil of enslaved individuals to the contributions of Black workers in various industries, to being a primary source of inspiration and creativity today. The resilience and spirit of Black people's invaluable contributions formed the foundation of the nation we have today and we honor that by celebrating the essence of relentless change and unapologetic black expression.

This exhibition serves as a celebration of you and for those who came before you. With this exhibition, we amplify your beauty, your blackness, your ancestors, your voice, the soul within you from which a nation was born. Our uniqueness and indelible power has led us from June 19th, 1865 to present day and we want to show the world!

Autocracy and the reactionary, racist ideas that go with it are on the march in the US and across the globe. They are given voice almost daily by the leader of the Republican Party and his minions, even as the majority of Americans oppose their policies. To stop this surge of fear and hate, we must make sure that our system does not devolve further. Only then can we continue the fight for an expanded democracy. Inviting persuadable voters to this conversation on one of the largest media stages of the year is a huge opportunity to do just that.

“FUTURE VISION”

In today's rapidly changing world, the importance of envisioning a hopeful and equitable future cannot be overstated. The "Future Vision" public art billboard exhibition presented by The Untitled Space in collaboration with non-profit SaveArtSpace invites artists to dream big and create compelling visual narratives that imagine a better tomorrow. Running from October - November in time for the run up to the U.S. presidential election in major cities throughout The United States including New York City, Miami, and more, this exhibition is not just about idealism, it's about providing a roadmap for the future we want to build. By focusing on ideals such as justice, peace, equality, diversity, and sustainability, this theme encourages artists to create works that inspire, motivate, and guide collective action toward a more just and harmonious world. Activism has always been a driving force for progress. The "Future Vision" public art billboard exhibition aims to amplify the voices of those who are fighting for social justice and systemic change, and who envision a promising future. Art has the power to provoke thought, spark conversation, inspire and elevate. By turning billboards into canvases for art, we can reach a broad audience and demonstrate how creativity can be a powerful tool for advocating for a brighter tomorrow.

In a time when social justice movements are gaining momentum worldwide, it is crucial to envision a future where justice is not just an ideal but a reality for all. This includes racial justice, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, economic fairness, sustainability, and global peace. With increasing political polarization and global conflicts, the need for peace is more urgent than ever. Peace is not merely the absence of war but the presence of conditions that foster harmony, understanding, and cooperation. A sustainable future is essential for the well-being of all living beings and the health of our ecosystems.

Through powerful imagery and innovative practices, artists can inspire a vision of a world that motivates viewers. "Future Vision" serves as a catalyst for change. Art has the unique ability to transcend cultural and linguistic barriers, reaching a diverse audience and evoking emotional responses that drive action. When people see a vivid portrayal of what a better future could look like, they are more likely to be inspired to take steps toward making that vision a reality.

The "Future Vision" theme is a call to artists to use their creativity to paint a picture of what a hopeful and equitable future looks like. Turning billboards into canvases for activist art not only amplifies important messages but also democratizes art, making it accessible to a wider audience. Through their art, artists can inspire, educate, and mobilize viewers, helping to turn aspirational visions into tangible realities, harnessing their creativity for social change.

"I am thrilled to curate this public art series that transforms billboards into canvases for social change across the nation. The 'Future Vision' theme invites artists to imagine and depict a better tomorrow during a critical time leading up to the presidential election. Your artwork can inspire viewers, spark meaningful dialogue, and encourage a promising future - making it an essential part of this nationwide initiative. The billboard transformed into an art display is an innovative, and ultimately accessible way to transform spaces normally dedicated to advertising into public art that has power and impact.” – Curator Indira Cesarine

In the spirit of radical imagination, we know we will reach a future where care is the standard. What will reproductive freedom look and feel like?

In a time of threatened rights, art becomes a tool for resistance and transformation. Care Now, Care Forever investigates the visual aesthetic of collective resistance. We envision a post-Roe future led by a radical reimagination that demands the impossible. By illustrating the vision of reproductive freedom fighters, we showcase the world we are fighting for. Imagine a society where care is the standard. As rights are stripped away, our ability to reimagine the world becomes our strongest weapon. Care Now, Care Forever invites you to explore and embrace this vision.

Art for Democracy is a multi-pronged initiative established by Bay Area artist Lena Wolff to promote a more inclusive, equitable society through a series of fundraisers for grassroots voting organizations, along with a widespread public art campaign to encourage voter participation across the United States.

A new round of text-based images by Lena and Hope Meng are in the works to circulate across the country in the form of billboards, physical posters, postcards and free downloadable files for the election year of 2024. This year, to carry the project out, we’ve formed a partnership with the non-profit organization and fiscal sponsor, SaveArtSpace, which makes it possible to receive tax-deductible donations to the project.

As artists and organizers, we believe that a truly representative democracy rooted in equality is key to a thriving and joyful society. We are concerned about the rising appeal of right-wing autocratic-leaning leaders in the US who are actively working to dismantle the civil rights gains of recent decades, from reproductive freedom to LGTBQ rights, immigrants rights to racial justice, along with the movements for a sustainable planet that we depend on to live. This project aims to address these concerns through art and civic participation.

We raised over $65,000 via GoFundMe and direct donations, allowing us to install 23 billboards in 16 cities in swing states across America.

What is Oneness? Is there anything that isn't part of the One creation we are experiencing? Can we all observe ourselves as One? Is there more than One Humanity? Is separation a reality or just a perception? How do you express the consciousness that is in all of us? What unifies all humans, regardless of the details that give an appearance of separation? Can we all be united as one, even though we are of different expressions? What is our true nature? Are our avatars, and the details of these "Soul vehicles", who we really are? Is Identity a blessing or a box that limits our infinite being? How do you perceive your true self to be? Can you love your "enemy" if you learn that it is also a part of the bigger "You" we are all inside? Are we all God dreaming up a Physical dimension and playing a very realistic video game with a fractalized version of it's own one self?
