SaveArtSpace is proud to present Oneness, a public art exhibition on bus shelter ad space in Miami, FL, during Art Basel Miami Beach & Miami Art Week, opening November 29, 2024, curated by Chris Dyer.

The Oneness selected artists are Danielle Caners, Eileen "Rosie" Rose, Ekaterina Sky, Evie Zimmer, Heidi Taillefer, Lindy Kehoe, Myztico Campo, and Simon Haiduk.

What is Oneness? Is there anything that isn't part of the One creation we are experiencing? Can we all observe ourselves as One? Is there more than One Humanity? Is separation a reality or just a perception? How do you express the consciousness that is in all of us? What unifies all humans, regardless of the details that give an appearance of separation? Can we all be united as one, even though we are of different expressions? What is our true nature? Are our avatars, and the details of these "Soul vehicles", who we really are? Is Identity a blessing or a box that limits our infinite being? How do you perceive your true self to be? Can you love your "enemy" if you learn that it is also a part of the bigger "You" we are all inside? Are we all God dreaming up a Physical dimension and playing a very realistic video game with a fractalized version of it's own one self?

Opening November 29, 2024, SaveArtSpace will launch public art installations for each selected work on bus shelter ad spaces in Miami, FL. The public art will be on view for at least one month.

Evie Zimmer Wonderlust

Location: Biscayne Blvd & NE 26th Ter, Miami, FL

Evie Zimmer is an American artist creating and teaching in Cleveland, Ohio. Her earlier kaleidoscopic abstract paintings earned her local and national recognition. Zimmer’s innovative artwork challenges the viewer with optic effects that imitate computer generated imagery. Her oil paintings have been described as a “strange loop of process and product that radiate an inherent energy field” As her work evolved, it has become more floral and symmetrical combining her original style with realistic imagery. This transformation in style has earned Evie a number of awards and publications both nationally and internationally including International Artist Magazine, American Art Collector, 10Ten Magazine (UK), Les Femme Follies and online features by Vice Creators and Niji Magazine. Evie’s work has also been digitally displayed on billboards in Baltimore and on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, Ca. Zimmer is consistently creating new work and enjoys teaching studio art courses in the area.

Artist Statement:

My current body of work reflects the space where reality and fantasy collide, where dreams and memories run together, where anxiety blends into tranquility.

In these works I attempt to capture the mystery and illusion of a space where the blurred line of polarities meet. The mesmerizing, circular movement combined with the color palette of many of my pieces convey a calming aura, offering entrance to a meditative state, while simultaneously, the whirling, complexity conjures chaos. Whether drifting or spinning uncontrollably towards the open area of atmospheric emptiness, I hope to create a portal to an altered state of consciousness where we may glimpse, for a fleeting moment, a sense of peace.

Heidi Taillefer Understanding Leda 60” x 40” Oil on canvas (2014)

Location: NE 36th St & Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL

Heidi Taillefer is an internationally recognized, award winning artist exhibiting in galleries and museums in Europe and North America. Her work fuses the timeless human condition with the fast-evolving world of technology. Her biomechanical creatures, which blend the organic and mechanical, reflect deep philosophical concerns about the intersection of nature, humanity, and technological progress. The juxtaposition of mythology and futuristic elements in her art raises questions about how technological advancements reshape our lives and environment, while her surrealistic approach brings a symbolic depth to these themes. By exploring both classical and contemporary influences such as mythology and science fiction, Taillefer addresses the enduring aspects of human nature in the face of rapid technological change. Her work channels the influences of some of the early 20th century surrealists such as Max Ernst, Girogio DeChirico, and Paul Delvaux, and is an original creative fusion of classical figurative painting, surrealism, contemporary realism, and mythology combined with popular figurative traditions ranging from Victorian romanticism to science fiction.

Taillefer has shown her work at the McAllen International museum of Art and Science in McAllen, TX, at the Halle Saint Pierre museum of outsider art in Paris, FR, at the Atelier34 Museum in Brussels, Belgium, the NAIA museum in Rochefort-en-Terre, FR, and at the Pensacola Museum of Art in Pensacola, FLA. She has won numerous awards for her work, most recently for the 10th Annual Surreal Salon at Baton Rouge gallery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she won best in show in 2018, and with the international beautiful Bizarre magazine where she won first place in the traditional art award category in 2020. She has worked extensively with the Cirque du Soleil on numerous art projects, as well as Infinity Canada and Taiwan where she painted two Infiniti art cars. Her work has been featured in numerous international art publications, including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, and Beautiful Bizarre magazines, to name a few.

Artist Statement:

Understanding Leda is a painting about forbidden love. In the painting, the Greek god Zeus, who has transformed himself into a swan, has managed to seduce the hapless mortal Leda. It begs the viewer to wonder how such a bestial union could have occurred between even a god and a mere mortal, since by all accounts Zeus transformed himself into a bird. Leda is represented by a doe to bridge this gap in understanding, likening her to another forest beast better suited to accept the advances of a transmogrified deity.

Lindy Kehoe All Love Tree Acrylic on canvas, 30x40 inches, 2018

Location: NW 2nd Ave & NW 64th St, Miami, FL

Lindy Kehoe is an illustrator and author living in the beautiful nature of an Oregon river valley. She received her BFA from Ohio University, and is originally from Pittsburgh, Pa. Her work can be found in multiple children’s books, tea houses, and healing centers across the country. Her work is internationally published.

She works in acrylic, oil, and ink and watercolor.

Artist Statement:

My work is inspired by the playful aspect of nature. I paint characters that are combinations of earth, animal, and human. They are reflective of elemental sages, bringing forth energies of peace and child-heart wisdom. I always begin with the eyes, and work with a “no mind” in my sketching to allow the characters to unfurl without conception. I allow color to be intuitive, and paint in an indirect style, meaning that I am glazing multiple translucent layers to create optical blending on the canvas.
