SaveArtSpace x Brooklyn Film Camera are thrilled to announce an open call for analog photography-based artwork surrounding the theme of “Power”. From cold political authority to the wild power of nature. Strengthened muscle. Social prowess. The warmth of a friend’s embrace. The softness and resonance of an elderly voice. Power manifests itself in countless surprising ways. Our open call theme of "Power" invites artists to explore and interpret the multifaceted concept in its various forms and expressions. From political authority and social influence to personal strength and the power of nature, this theme offers a vast landscape for artistic exploration. Artists are encouraged to delve into the dynamics of power - how it is gained, wielded, challenged, and even lost. We welcome submissions that provoke thought, spark dialogue, and offer unique insights into the nature of power in contemporary society.

Selected artists will have their work displayed on billboard(s) throughout Brooklyn for at least one month. The show will open on November 8th just three days after the US Presidential Election. This open call is for artists working with analog-photography based artwork only. Artists from all over the world are encouraged to apply.

We invite analog-photography based artists of all ages and talents to submit their artwork between August 2 and September 23, 2024. This is an opportunity to have your work placed on billboard ad space in Brooklyn, NY. Curated by Brooklyn Film Camera.

Open call for art ends September 23, 2024. There is a $10 donation per image submission to participate, each donation is tax deductible and goes to producing the public art. Selected artists will be announced after October 7, 2024. Public art will be installed November 8, 2024 in Brooklyn, NY, and will be on view for at least one month.
