SaveArtSpace x Brooklyn Film Camera are pleased to present Power, a public art exhibition on billboard ad space in Brooklyn, NY, opening November 15, 2024. Curated by Brooklyn Film Camera.
The Power selected artist is Norman Aragones.
Brooklyn Film Camera and SAVEARTSPACE are thrilled to present Norman Aragones' piece "Growing Up" which takes the form of a public art exhibition featured on a billboard within East Williamsburg. The show will be on view from November 15th for one month and is part of an initiative to reclaim public, commercial space for the arts. "Growing Up" will premier just 10 days after the U.S. Presidential Election and we feel this image is viscerally representative of the modern moment.
Opening November 15, 2024, SaveArtSpace will launch a public art installation for the selected work on billboard ad space in Brooklyn, NY. The public art will be on view for at least one month. An opening reception will be held at the billboard on November 15 from 7:30p-9p, see you there!
Selected Artist
Location: Morgan Ave & Harrison Pl, Brooklyn, NY
The main paradigm in my photographic art revolves around the concept of depth (having some level of meaning within the photo and thus attempting to elicit a viewer's reaction through deliberate imagery). My hope is that the viewer comes away with some feeling, idea, and/or perspective from seeing my photo(s). The techniques I use in creating photographic images are not something specific. I just try to work diligently in creating something in particular (that I had envisioned previously in my mind's eye).
